Our Story
Our story begins in the 2020 pandemic. Like many others, redundancy was inevitable and we needed a new way to apply our expertise in customer service. At the same time the landscape was changing for trades people too. Many were losing their employed positions with big employers, but with much of the population stuck in their homes, there was a surge in demand for home improvement services. Result: a great deal of previously employed trades people were now self employed, either through necessity or opportunity. People highly skilled in their trade, but perhaps missing some of the other skills needed in launching a small business.

Step up All Trade Professionals. Created to help the tradesperson find customers and the customer find the right person for the job. Finding the right person turned out to be another in demand service. We know because we suffered like everyone else when we needed a plumber before we got started with this business. 25 phone calls we made and 24 of them: Didn't answer, didn't call back, didn't offer the service we wanted, were out of area, were to busy and unavailable. They didn't turn up to quote, didn't quote even after they had visited or didn't do the work even after we booked them! There was (and still is) room for improvement in this industry.

When we got started we were working with a few carpenters in our local area. Thanks to their success, we were able to offer more service and go further afield to surrounding counties. Today, all trades are catered for and services include some pretty big projects such as loft conversions and extensions.
How we work
None of our tradespeople are employees. They are all local independent sole traders or small business that we have chosen to work with. Each of our trade partners are carefully selected, vetted, reviewed and approved before visiting any customers to quote for work. Just some of the things we check so you don't have to include: reviewing previous work, feedback, checking for appropriate insurance, qualifications and experience as well as their operating address.

Because we work with an expanding network of tradespeople, we know who's the right person for the job, who's available, who actually wants the work.

We're here for both the customer and the tradesperson to make sure the project gets done.
